Trenz – A Brand Story Back
Reveal the very best of our beautiful country to the world’s top international travel buyers at a single awe-inspiring location.
TRENZ (Tourism Rendezvous New Zealand) is New Zealand’s largest annual tourism expo. It is a showcase for the gamut of visitor experiences available across the country. The 2012 event, to be held in picture-perfect Queenstown, required a campaign and identity that would attract the attention and imagination of attendees across the world. We began with a workshop to explore the organisation and their brand. After a full and intense day of questioning and reflection, we were armed with a wealth of insight into their goals, purpose and stakeholders. We distilled this into the DNA of their brand and what they promised. Then we began to create the visual and experiential backbone to the event. At the core of our design solution was the development of a TRENZ 2012 brand toolkit. An extensive and flexible set of brand assets, design systems and inspirations that could be shared between the numerous and diverse event partners to ensure one consistent brand expression was delivered. We also developed a suite of branded online, print and digital communications, including e-invites, e-magazines, AV displays and presentations.
The event was a roaring success and the team worked seamlessly with the brand toolkit to create a visually stunning, cohesive and inspiring event. Delegates from around the world were treated to the best of New Zealand and even the Minister of Tourism (the Right Hon John Key, Prime Minister) made an appearance.
